Abstract :
A spiral antenna for the detection of pulsed signals in the 2.5¿18 GHz range has been built and tested. The antenna has a detector diode mounted directly on the spiral itself, thereby eliminating the need for a balun. A description of the antenna and its electrical characteristics is given.
