Abstract :
Cantilever multimorph structures using the piezoelectric polymer PVF2exhibit large amplitude vibrational motion when driven with an ac voltage. The possibility seems attractive of using such simple solid-state structures for low-power, compact, and maintenance-less fans for ventilation or cooling applications, for example, in electronic equipment.
