Abstract :
The graphical solution of the Laplace equation in the form of curvilinear squares is used to calculate the conduction loss of a single dielectric TEM line of any cross-section. A formula is given for calculation of the equivalent resistance R per unit length. The conduction loss factor is obtained from relation ¿ = R/2Z, Z being the characteristic impedance of the line.
