Abstract :
An experimental technique using an integrator to measure the charge of streamers in dielectric liquids is presented. As an application of this device, the correlation between the measured charge and streamer propagation is discussed. Using a computer, the total value of streamer charge is stored and then correlated to the gases produced by the steamers. In this way, an attempt is made to discover and analyze the events occurring during breakdown
