Abstract :
A process monitor is introduced that exploits semipermeable membranes for selective, online determination of aqueous tritium activity. Results from laboratory studies and an in-plant application to a nuclear-fuel-dissolver off-gas processing environment are presented. Under slowly changing tritium concentrations the accuracy is near 2%. Potential uses of the monitor in low-level operating environments are discussed.<>
