Abstract :
Formulas for the estimation of gain and phase-variances using data obtained from multifrequency response testing of linear systems are derived. It is a straightforward matter to evaluate these estimates when digital signal analysis is being used in the experiment. The derivations are based upon elementary statistical-estimation theory.
