Abstract
Data are presented on the temperature dependence (from ∼ 0°C to 120°C) of the magnetization, characteristic length, and uniaxial anisotropy constant in LPE films of Y1.5 Gd0.8 Eu0.7 Fe4.3 Al0.6 Ga0.1 O12 , Y1.0 Gd1.0 Er1.0 Fe4.5 Al0.3 Ga0.2 O12 , Y0.9 Gd1.5 Yb0.6 Fe4.5 Al0.5 O12 , Y1.0 Gd1.0 Tm1.0 Fe4.4 Ga0.6 O12 , Y1.1 Gd0.8 Tm1.1 Fe4.4 Ga0.6 O12 , and Y1.2 Gd0.6 Tm1.2 Fe4.4 Ga0.6 O12 , Included are samples having a range of strain- and growth-induced anisotropies. We find that the magnetization can readily be made temperature independent from ∼20 to ∼100°C in these materials but that Ku , and hence
, has a negative temperature coefficient. The variation of Ku with temperature has an approximately exponential variation in all samples.
, has a negative temperature coefficient. The variation of KKeywords
