Abstract
A corrosion indicating bridge (CIB) is proposed as an alternate method to metal coupons for measuring the corrosivity of environments. Six environmental chamber tests were made with corrosion indicating bridges which showed precisions of the CIB´s within a given test exposure ranging from nine percent to 26 percent. Reasons for this variation are given. In addition, the CIB´s were used to compare the six environmental chamber tests which showed an overall precision of abut 30 percent from run to run.
