Abstract :
A novel detector has been developed which can sense the amplitude and phase of a sinusoidal high-frequency current. The operating principle is the control of the skin depth for conduction in the magnetic material. A pair of Co-base nonmagnetostrictive amorphous plates 18.8 mm long, 43 mm wide, and 23 μm thick can sense the amplitude of a 7-MHz current with good linearity. The results are useful for developing micromagnetic devices
