Abstract :
An analytical approach is used to find the upper bounds of microstrip line capacitance which arbitrary anisotropic substrate. General expressions are obtained for the permittivity and the thickness of an equivalent isotropic substrate. The method is used to compute the upper and lower bounds parameters of microstrip on sapphire substrate.
