Abstract :
Well-defined tools are the primary requirement to support the industrial transition to service-oriented architecture. SOA realized through Web service standards is an extraordinary improvement over prior technology. The value is evident in industry´s relatively rapid and broad uptake of Web services. Enterprises, system integrators, and packaged application vendors (for example, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management) are all investing in SOA. They expect a return on investment, and case studies have emerged that demonstrate the benefits of Web-service-based SOA technology for enterprise applications.
