Abstract
Design philosophy for field-access bubble-lattice propagation devices and experimental results on their implementation in several Permalloy patterns are presented. They include symmetrical and asymmetrical chevron patterns, small-gap and large-gap devices, and uniaxial or biaxial propagation. The nature of bubble lattice files is reexamined, leading to the conclusion that the intrinsic property of the bubble lattice will necessitate more complicated structures than discrete bubble devices when implemented in functionally complete chips.
