Abstract :
A computer optimisation procedure is described which has been successfully used to synthetise acoustic-surface-wave filters according to French television specifications. A model for interdigital transducers is used which reduces the synthesis problem to that of finding a set of transducer dimensions. The experimental frequency response of such a filter is in good agreement with the predictions.
