  • Abstract
    Some improvement is possible in the point-marching method as applied to dielectric rod of rectangular cross-section by rotating the grid of equiangularly spaced matching points in order to place a matching point at the corner. With a suitable choice of an effective boundary at the corner, the overall mismatch at the boundary can be reduced.
