Abstract :
An analysis is given for the output signal/noise ratio of a convolver when both input waveforms are accompanied by noise. It is shown that a close approximation to the ideal matched-filter performance can be obtained if the signal/noise ratio at the reference input is only 10 dB. Experimental measurements support the analysis.
