Abstract
Two comments on Compton´s work (ibid., vol.36, no.1, p.15-26, Jan. 1988) are made. The commenter states that the work is incomplete and hence the conclusions arrived at with regard to the usefulness of the FFT (fast Fourier transform) are misleading. The author addresses the comments, and defends his point of view.<>
