Abstract :
A modification of the least-squares method is employed to calculate the resonance frequencies of shielded rectangular microstrip discs. Since the approach is a rigorous one, it includes endeffects and dispersion of the open-ended line, by which the configuration-can be identified. Results are given for quasi-TEM half- and whole-wave resonators and are compared with those obtained by simple line theory.
