Abstract :
The series of compounds (Zn2-2xCu2x)-Y have been prepared and characterized via magnetic and Mössbauer measurements. The substitution of Zn with Cu causes an increase in the Curie temperature, a decrease of saturation magnetization and a change of the anisotropy from planar (Zn2-Y) to axial (Cu2-Y). Mössbauer spectra showed that the reduced values of the hyperfine fields vs the reduced temperature are the same for all the compositions. A quadrupole splitting sign change was also observed confirming the transition from planar to axial anisotropy.
