Abstract :
Electric contact materials were made from oxidized Ag-Cd and Ag-Sn alloy powders by water atomization. It was found that the oxidation temperature of the Ag-Cd powder affected the morphology of the press-sinter-repressed material and the mechanical properties of the wrought material. Preliminary electrical tests showed that the Ag-CdO material made by this method performed comparably with Ag-CdO material made by more conventional methods.
