Abstract :
Effects of heat treatment on magnetostriction and permeability of zero magnetostrictive FeCoNiSiB amorphous alloys, obtained by rapid quenching from the melt, are studied. It is found that zero magnetostrictive composition shifts by annealing. Among the alloys investigated, μeof samples with higher Curie temperatures are unstable upon aging. However, thermally stable alloys with relatively high Tc are obtained by increasing metalloid content.
