Abstract :
The commenter contends with the conclusion of E.B. Manring and J. Asmussen in the above-titled paper (ibid., vol.3, no.3, p.78-9, Mar, 1993) that the cavity orthogonality equations given by R. Harrington (see Time-Harmonic Electromagnetic Fields, McGraw-Hill, 1961) are not valid in general. He points out that no contradiction exists between the waveguide orthogonality equations they derived and the cavity orthogonality equations given by Harrington. The authors, upon closer inspection of their work, concur.<>
