Abstract :
A novel picture-in-picture system was developed. It consists of the following two devices: a picture insertion processor (PIP) with the picture memory as well as three digital-to-analog converters and a RGB matrix on one chip, and an analog-to-digital converter interface for the inserted picture (ADIIP). The features of the PIP system are presented, the IC devices are described, and system applications in analog and digital environments are discussed
