  • Abstract
    Design criteria for a desktop personal microcomputer are examined, with emphasis on ease of use. Two features are discussed in detail: a natural-language query system for accessing databases, and a peripheral speech processor for verbal input/output. Methodologies, benefits, and future applications are considered.
