Abstract :
This letter presents a new numerical reconstruction procedure for the synthetic focus system which improves the transversal resolution in acoustic B-scope imaging. It involves calculations in Fourier domain and could be made especially efficient by the use of now commonly available hardwired FFT processors. Computer simulation demonstrates the feasibility of the procedure.
