Abstract :
The power of the radar echo from a dielectric body of high ¿r is evaluated in the vicinity of the target´s lowest resonant frequency, at which the body radiates like a magnetic dipole. The formula shows the dependence of the power on the polarisation of the incident wave and on the characteristics of the body, e.g. ¿r and the orientation.
