Abstract
Enhanced planar periodic structures with compact size, i.e. electromagnetic bandgap structures, in the microwave region, with T-type loaded capacitance realised by microstrip line are presented. The simulated and measured results show that the proposed periodic structures have not only compact size but also improved band rejection characteristic.
