Abstract
Proven equipment designs that are presently available for the reduction of Nox emissions are outlined. Operational results of these modern burning techniques for lower NOx emission and improved operating conditions are presented. The design of today´s cement pyro-line is outlined and how attention to detail in a few important areas can reduce NOx emissions by up to 50% compared to a similar preheater kiln of the 1970s is discussed
