Abstract :
A silicon receiver optoelectronic integrated circuit (OEIC) in 0.6 μm BiCMOS technology is presented. The OEIC achieves with a 300 μm-diameter pin photodiode a sensitivity of -20.1 dBm at a data rate of 2.5 Gbit/s and at a pseudorandom bit sequence of 231-1 with a bit error rate of 10-9.
