Abstract :
A new microprocessor-based linear frequency- to-code converter (fDC) is described in this letter. It consists of the microprocessor, memory, only one inverter as interface, and an ingenious software program. The program execution leads to automatic synchronization and conversion of the input fito an output code. Conversion time is just equal to the period of the input signal.
