Abstract :
The magnetosonic waves arise in conductive magnetizable incompressible fluid due to nonuniformity of the magnetization. The velocity of such waves depends on the fluid magnetic permeability. The one-dimentional simple waves are investigated and it is shown that a shock wave in magnetizable fluid is formed. This shock in contrast to Alfven´s one is characterized by constant width. There is a hyperbolic region in the case of steady flows of conductive magnetizable fluid. This implies the existence of simple waves in such fluid similar to that of Prandtl-Meyer in gas-dynamics.
