Abstract :
This paper gives a method for the calculation of the magnetic field at the surface of steel structures induced by the neighboring high currents. The saturation effect is taken into account by using a graphical method for the solution of the relevant Maxwell´s equations. The set of graphs, once calculated for a desired geometry, enables one to calculate the eddy current loss at different current magnitudes.
