Abstract
The hysteresis loss, disaccomodation and Curie temperatures of metal-metalloid, amorphous alloys are studied in relation to the various heat treatment and fabrication conditions. Hysteresis loss can be effectively decreased by stress annealing in the viscous flow region. Disaccomodation effect is found to be remarkable for weak driving AC field. Annealing above Tc increases μ and suppresses the disaccomodation. The Curie temperatures decreases with decreasing thickness of the ribbon specimens. The lower Tc corresponds to the higher glass temperature which is realized by higher cooling rate in the fabrication, being consistent with the increase of Tc with low temperature annealing.
