Abstract
Low power dissipation, compactness, and reliaability are attributes of a bubble detection innovation for NASA´s Bubble Memory Module. Heart of the design is a detector selection multiplexer[1] which connects a chip in an addressed cell to one of two sense hybrids. By using diode selection, expensive, bulky, and high power components such as those used for sensing are shared between cells. Eight sense amplifiers serve 64 chips.
