Abstract :
The maximal signal-to-noise ratio and either matching to the resistive source, or maximum gain from the reactive source can be simultaneously achieved when the two-port input impedance is complex conjugate with respect to the optimal source impedance. A noisy two-port representation is derived using only two noncorrected noise sources.
