Abstract
Geodesic lenses are printed into glass substrates by using pressurised nitrogen and precisely machined preforms made of synthetic graphite. Multimode film waveguides of about 50 ¿m depth are fabricated by a field-assisted silver ion exchange. The geometrical tolerances, the spot size and the losses are measured.
