Broadband end launcher for X band rectangular waveguide

The development of a wideband `coaxial-to-waveguide end launcher¿ is presented. The end launcher, comparable to a right-angled transition in terms of performance and ease of construction, covers the entire X band (VSWR 1:1.25). The end launcher has applications in waveguide array work, especially in phased arrays and as a general purpose coaxial-to-waveguide in-line transition.
