Abstract :
An eye amplitude monitor is described that involves remotely impressing low-angle PM onto a bit stream in proportion to its amplitude at some point within a repeater. The scheme utilises existing repeater circuitry, and the only additional hardware required is an oscillator, summing junction and remotely activated switch.
