Abstract :
For the first time, As-S based fibres doped with up to 1000 wt.ppm Pr have been prepared with sufficiently low losses between the 1.0 and 1.3 μm wavelength. The new materials exhibit excellent optical, thermal and mechanical properties and offer great potential for application in fibre amplifiers
