Abstract :
The amplitude of high-frequency square-wave dither necessary to quench limit cycles in a class of relay control systems is shown to be less than the amplitude required with any other periodic, odd, half-wave symmetric, high-frequency dither signal A general expression for the minimum dither amplitude is also given.
