Abstract :
The H -plane radiation patterns of a slot antenna set in a large ground plane and covered by a grid of wires are analyzed. In the analytic model the grid of wires is treated as a thin plasma sheet with a known surface impedance. The agreement between the mathematical model and the experimental data reaffirms the fact that a grid of wires may be used to simulate a thin plasma sheet.
