Abstract
Five possible types of coupling on multiconductor cables are identified. The magnitudes of three new types of couplings are assessed for different simple cables. A complete example of field-to-cable coupling calculation, including the five types of coupling, is presented. An experiment reproducing the setup considered in this calculation was carried out. The results shows that one of the couplings described by the parallel transfer impedance is present and dominates the cable response in certain cases
