New method of approximating the acceptable region of nonlinear resistive networks

A new method for finding an initial approximation of the region Rc common to both the acceptable region Ra and feasible region Rf of a nonlinear resistive network is described. This approximation gives a very good starting point for further approximation of Rc, for example by simplicial approximation. The method is illustrated by an example.
