Abstract :
A new method using phase-locked loops is based on extracting a second harmonic from the electrical input to a mechanical vibrator, for maintaining maximum output during sudden changes of load or temperature. This eliminates the tendency of such systems to jump in frequency to an unwanted mode of vibration.
