Abstract :
A method of External Network Power System State Estimation which uses equality constrained boundary node voltage magnitudes and phase angle differences to enforce multiple observable island internal network solutions is presented. It is described in the context of on-line energy control center security calculations and is currently being implemented in seven energy control centers.
