Abstract
Hit pattern statistics are proposed to evaluate the packet error probabilities for slow frequency-hop multiple access systems with symbol-basis side information. Since the intersymbol relationship depicted by the hit pattern statistics is exploited by the symbol-basis side information, the error performance of such systems can be accurately calculated. Numerical results show that the performance can be significantly improved over that of systems with hop-basis side information
