Abstract :
To compute the characteristic modes of a perfectly conducting object a new weighted eigenvalue equation is derived, using the magnetic-field integral equation. The method of moments is used to solve this eigenvalue equation, and a number of bodies of revolution are examined. The results are presented and compared with those of previous methods.
