Achievement Award of the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society

Fred S, Hickernell is the seventeenth recipient of the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society Achievement Award. The award was presented at the 1995 Ultrasonics Symposium in Seattle, Washington, on November 8, 1995. This award recognizes a member of the Society for outstanding contributions to the fields of ultrasonics, ferroelectrics, and frequency control and to the UFFC Society. Dr. Hickernell was cited "for his comprehensive research and development of dielectric and piezoelectric films for acoustical and optical microelectronic devices, and for editing the UFFC-S Newsletter since 1977 with enthusiasm and vision."
