Abstract :
A novel switched-capacitor circuit is proposed for digital multiplication. The principle of operation is based on digital-to-analogue conversion followed by successive-approximation analogue-to-digital conversion by means of binary-weighted capacitor arrays. An experimental circuit, implemented using discrete components, has confirmed the principle.
