Abstract
A method is presented for the discrete-time adaptive control of systems resulting from the cascade, parallel, and feedback interconnection of two subsystem pairs, each of which consists of a cascade of known and unknown blocks. Such interconnection can realistically represent physical systems to be controlled. Partial plant knowledge is incorporated into the adaptive algorithm so as to reduce the number of parameters to be identified
