Abstract
In this correspondence, we investigate the distribution of multiuser interferences (MUI) in a time-hopping pulse position ultra-wideband (TH-PPM-UWB) system. Starting from the results presented by Forouzan et al., we derive an almost exact analytical expression for the probability density function (pdf) of the MUI. This pdf confirms the impulsive behavior of the MUI, as discussed in various references cited within. Furthermore, we show that this pdf is close to the so-called Middleton Class A model, representing an impulsive noise model
